Headteacher's welcome

Welcome to our school website!  We hope you will find it gives you a good idea as to what we are all about and how our children thrive during their time with us.

In our school every individual child is valued and nurtured.  We put children at the centre of all we do.  We adapt our teaching and learning opportunities according to the needs and interests of the children.   In this way we ensure that we have highly motivated, confident and secure young children who make excellent progress as they journey through our school.

We put no limits on children’s progress :  we expect the very best of every child.  We want them all to achieve their full potential – and more!  We achieve this through high quality teaching and learning, additional intervention support (such as reading support), extension opportunities (such as maths clubs, visiting experts), support for families when needed and through our overriding determination to ensure that all our children and their families are really happy, feel valued and that everyone can succeed.

We currently have 220 children between 3 and 7 years old in our school, including 52 Nursery children.  The school also provides a base for one of the Local Authorities’ Child Development Centres and The Beacon Children’s Centre. The Beacon Children’s Centre has been an invaluable location for our Parent Support Advisor to run parent groups, a toddler group and other sessions of interest to parents/carers.  Family Learning also use this centre to run courses for parents/carers and their children.

We are very proud of our school and of all that we achieve together.  We hope that you will enjoy looking at our website and that you will then like to come and visit yourself.  Please contact the School Office to make an appointment -
