Foundation 1

We are extremely proud of our fantastic Foundation 1 unit (previously known as Nursery)  In a purpose built facility, with extensive outdoor areas, 52 children enjoy learning through a child-centred provision.

Miss Katie Bartlett is our F1 teacher and is supported by Mrs Jane McLeod, HLTA and Miss Sharon Armstrong, TA.

Children can join F1 in the September after they turn 3 years old.  They then spend 3 terms in F1, at the end of which most of our children move up to Foundation 2 (previously known as Reception).

We offer either 5 morning or 5 afternoon sessions.  Sessions last for 3 hours.

Session times :  8.30 – 11.30 am and 12.15 – 3.15 pm.

Curriculum:

Children in F1 follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
